Game Vision Statement

Hey guys!
Today I worked on a vision statement for my project.
using guidelines from this article.
it helped me develop more ideas for my game and has helped me improve my knowledge on Genre and style of game.

I am sticking with a small archery game but have decided to make it an against the clock game to try and increase replay ability and enjoyment, I hope peoples competitive nature will make this game more like-able

  1. Hiii Eoin! First comment on your blog, yay. I read your previous post, so good job on finding tutorials that will basically take you from start to finish of the archery project, its a really smart move... You won't have to struggle like me with adding in inventory for 6 hours... The idea of your game is kinda cool... and achievable, especially with the tutorials. And! Good thing is that there should be a lot of assets on the store that you can use.
    Good luck! And keep doing them posts and get some extra credits, even if you don't like them that much.

  2. Hey Eoin!

    I like the sound of your game. An archery game against the clock sounds very challenging and fun. Are there many tutorials out there that are specifically for archery games on unity? You have hit the jackpot if there is! As Ada has said, there is probably a tonne of cool assets you could use. Are you going to add in custom characters or even a custom bow? Maybe we can unlock bows with better score, that would be cool!

    I hope it all goes well for you, I will defintely be keeping up to date with your blogs to see how your progress is coming along.

    Good luck!

  3. Hi Eoin, good to see you have a cool Idea for you game. The idea of archery is a unique one indeed. While its a mechanic found in other games, I think making a whole game out of the concept is great idea. It could be more physics based or something that requires skill or can be a fun minigame too. Looking at the other comments, they seem to agree that its a good idea too. It seems like a simple game to make and play but something effective and fun. Hope it goes well man. Goodluck!

Testing

Hey guys! Today i did some testing of my game along side some more development, i cant currently access the college due to injury so ive had to make do with the laptop i have at home, unfortunately the laptop does struggle with unity but not so much to a point where i cant continue my progress (thankfully) all is going well and i am flying along with the game, due to some events i am a little bit behind but am doing work everyday to catch up. i am now finally happy with the overall look and feel of the game, although i was having some issues when it came to the bow. in some instances i would grab my bow but for some reason it wouldn't equip from time to time, this was a problem of my computers doing its beautiful job at deleting all my hard work ! but a rewatch of the gem tutorial and axe tutorial from jimmy Vegas was all i needed to be back on track! now i need to add, targets, when i watched some tutorials they seemed quite complex but im sure after a bit of hard work il...
