My Favorite Game

Hi my name is Eoin O'Reilly and this is my favorite game, Dead by daylight otherwise commonly known as DBD is an online Horror game. You and three of your best friends take battle against a stranger online, this stranger has a multitude of different choices of killers, From Michael Myers -Freddy Kruger and many more.

The aim of the game is survival, The four survivors must work as a team to power 5 generators and escape the killer. Sounds simple enough right?
All killers feature their own unique attacks and perks, for ex, "The Nurse" A killer designed by the development team, is quite slow but has an ability known as blink when activated she can teleport herself across the map and to your locations to follow up with this and to give her a helping hand in finding you, if your player or teammate is injured you have the option to heal them, to counter this the nurse has a perk known as "Nurses Calling" which allows her to see your outline through walls during healing stages.

The game progresses in 2 ways the killer hits and hooks you and all your teammates or your team completes 5 generators and powers the exit gates.

The game is terrifying and leaves you on the edge of your seat constantly, the games features a system to help survivors known as the heart beat, the killers heartbeat can be heard at various ranges allowing you and your friends to track his or her movement through sound.

Overall the game is amazing it offers enjoyable fast pace or slow pace game play depending on who you are up against, and hey maybe today your feeling angry and want to take it out on some people, ditch your friends and play solo as one of the 15 killers available

Games Stories

Hey guys! Today I read an article on  What Every Game Developer Needs to Know about Story Overall it was an extremely good read and i would recommend, although some parts I got lost. Mainly cuz i'm extremely tired and sick :) enough of me complaining lets get into it! what was it about?  Story in games and why the hell is it so important. to show why?, the post takes a dive back in time to look at old formats of story and why they worked, in an effort to show us how to make them work for games a relatively new art form. The facts are the facts and funny enough if you look back (nice rhyming there) in time, the change from movie to games seemed really fucking strange and i am pretty sure some people laughed at the idea of movies/stories being shown through games, but you can flip that argument on its head because movies are just advancements of plays. The first attempt to make movies into stories absolutely failed. The camera was set up in the form of a viewer so f...

Games Testing

Hey guys! Today I read a super interesting article on Giving criticism AND IT SUCKED! no i'am only joking if you read the article linked  here , you will probably relate more. Its actually a super interesting read and if you haven't read it by now, you have probably lost 4 marks and if you had you would agree with me that its pretty good! Its funny to see that even after reading the post i am still using pretty good as a way of responding to something which isn't a great sign. The post speaks about the importance of correctly giving good criticism as apposed to bad criticism but what defines good and bad criticism. Have you ever given someone criticism on something only to be told YOUR WRONG.. or F--- YOU MAN/dude/women/thing. that is probably because you don't know how to give actual constructive criticism. a good example of this is the fact that humans tend to use personal likes and dislikes in their criticism instead of giving feedback that people can use...
